5 Day ABA Conference Goes Fully Online
This week I should have been on my first visit to New Orleans, taking in the end of the jazz festival and joining a panel of speakers discussing how ODR is increasing access to justice at the American Bar Association's (Dispute Resolution Section) 5 day Spring Conference. Full respect to the organisers for replicating the whole of the event online, including social hangout areas, committee meetings, webinars and discussion groups. Quite a project. Today is the final day but much has been recorded, thus avoiding missing out on parallel sessions.
As a panellist I was much impressed at the way the organisers insisted on preparation meetings, checking the technology, equipment and technical knowledge of all panellists and to David Larson and Mireze Phillipe for organising the session and its content.
After the last 18 months in which I have presented or lectured on ODR at events in Lithuania (twice), New Zealand, Australia, Israel, Ireland and the USA I do, however, look forward to being once again able to travel to events in person.
